The 4X4 conversion was done in July of 1989 by Advanced Four Wheel Drive Systems in Salt Lake City, Utah (still has the door sticker and they are still in business) for a California water company. I am the third owner. The van has an injected 351 that was replaced with a Jasper rebuilt long block in April of 2006 and probably has 25K miles on it, K&N filter, BBK throttle body, 3" Magna Flo exhaust, C6 automatic rebuilt this year, Borg Warner 1356 transfer case, Dana 44 leaf spring front with Warn hubs, Dana 60 rear with 3:54 open gears, A/C front and rear (blows cold), P/S (new steering box), near new 295/75R16 BFG All Terrain tires on 16X8 aluminum wheels, one repaint three years ago and there is no rust, Pro-Car seats, insulated, paneled, carpeted, refrigerator and microwave (needs inverter and wiring). In the past few years brakes, shocks, alternator, regulator, belts, hoses, spark plugs and wires, universal joints, radiator, clutch fan, Optima battery, paint, bumpers, receiver hitch. The rear has a built up bed area with lots of storage. As far as I know the van has never been hit, all the doors shut tight and the door seals are soft, the blue paint shines and it is always garaged. The speedometer never worked, it shows about 68K, but probably been around once. The JVC radio is junk and there are a couple of small scratches in the paint from the idiot that owns it. It's a panel van mounted to a 1976 Blazer frame. It was set-up with a small block Chevy engine, Turbo 350 transmission, 203 transfer case (drivetrain not included). Rebuilt in August 2010 by a local Denver mechanic. The engine cost $4,500.00 to install and it has a 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty. It also has a new electronic fuel injection system installed in October 2010 by the same mechanic. The EFI system was $1,500.00. It has the 3 speed transmission, manual 4x4 transfer case and new lock out hubs. Lock out hubs, pitman and idler arms, where replaced in Feb. 2011 along with a new air pump and power steering belt. Front differential and upper ball joints where done in August of 2010. Transfer case and transmission were both flushed and serviced in August of 2010 as well as the front brakes. For sale my 2003 Ford E-350 Diesel Ext 4x4 Van. Sad to see it go, but things have come up where I have to sell it. Van has 7.3L Diesel engine, Van has only 140,000 KMs on it, with only 15,000 on the conversion. I just built this Van in the spring. 4x4 conversion is from U-joint off road, the best 4x4 conversion around, look them up, read the testimonials. I spared no expense when doing this conversion. all was done properly in a provincially certified automotive shop. Runs awesome, not a hick-up with this van. 100 liter fuel tank 600 km range in city . cruises on highway 100 kms/hr @ 1800rpm. I built this van to be a reliable daily driver for pleasure and work. If you want a kick-ass 4x4 van this is the vehicle for you, it turns heads everywhere you go. This Van Drives 10x better then the stock van did. Also I replaced the first row of bench seats with two factory matching buckets, so it has four captains chair. Also comes with two bench seats that can go in for additional seating of seven, total seating of 11. Van also has special made floor board that go in when the two back benches aren't in to make the floor flush over bench seat floor hardware. Van has trailer hitch and Electric Brakes Controller. Tires were rotated at 8.000, kms, rotated again this week. oil has been changed twice with Shell Rotella-t and filter every 7,000 kms. These are most of the things I can think about this Van right now. Bold does have a few chips, both mirrors have broken pieces on them from previous owner, they were next on my list to fix. and dings, but no body damage or accidents. This is a solid kickass 4x4 van. It's a 1970 jacked up 4x4 van. 3/4 ton, 350 with headers, Edelbrock street dominator intake, Holly carb, standard tranny with duel friction Center Force clutch, 35" mudders, 6" lift, complete brand new front end brakes and hubs. All the u-joints are brand new. 205 transfer case, 373 highway gears, racing fan, high temp and pressure hoses, sun roof, visor and no back windows. One bad ass muscle van! Motor bought last year, but never installed. The old engine is out and the new one just needs to be shoe horned in. The van is bare inside. No power options except steering and brakes. POSTED 11-3-10: When I was a teenager I made a terrible decision and sold my late father's 4x4 van. I need help finding it. I sold it in the late 90's (1996 or 97) to Lester Galloway of Galloway's 4WD Center (Richfield, NC). The van was brown and huge, really not sure of the year. It was purchased from Lester's shop and the only thing that Lester could tell me was that he thinks that it was purchased from a man in Virginia.
