Here is my 2003 Quigley with a 2009 front end. Dan Vez at SouthParc Skatepark in Brossard, Quebec, Canada!
Terry from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This is my 1979 C-30 Pathfinder. It is a Turbo 350 all drive train restored and is hell on wheels at Dolphins games! E-Mail.
I am Richard H., I live in Haines City, Florida and I have two 4x4 vans. The full size is a 1978 Chevy with a 400 Pontiac motor, Chevy 4-speed transmission and gear to gear transfer case. The Astro body was installed on a older Blazer frame which has a 350 engine and 350 transmission. E-Mail.
This was taken in October of 2009 at Elephant Butte Lake, New Mexico. She is a 1984 Dodge Vancharger Ram 250, with a Pathfinder 4x4 conversion, 4 barrel 360, and a Dana 44 front end. Bought her in Oct of 08. She just needed a little TLC to get back on the road: I rebuilt the carb, body work, paint/graphics, and front suspension. I'll send more once I've finished the makeover this summer. E-Mail.
This is my 1979 E 250. We gave it a pretty good face lift. Dana 60 in the rear high pinion 44 in the front. 460 cid engine with a C-6 trans and 205x-case. Interior I installed two deep cycle batts with 1750 watts of invertor, microwave and plenty of lighting. H20 holding tank w/sink. The rig has a frame mounting propane tank, I hooked a wave 3 catalist heater and a 2 burner stove with a oven. I also wired it for 120v plug in or generator for lighting and another heater. The pent house up top sleeps 2.
I found this at www.thundersgarage.com and flew from Idaho to Cali to buy it. Thanks, this is what I was looking for. She runs on 37" good year MT's. I built the bumper, mounts, wired all the lights ect. and of course the high lift. I have done a ton to the interior. Invertors, 1750 watts dual deep cycle batteries, microwave, 2 burner stove, oven as well as a wave 3 propane heater, high frame mounted tank. Plenty of 12v lights, wired for 110v plug in or generator for lights and heat. Ready to go. Oh ya, I just painted and Rhino lined it!! E-Mail.
Here is my 1973 Dodge van. We bought it from the original owner on
Ebay. It came from Arizona, it sat for 7 years. It originally came for
California. It was used in Mexico months at a time. Cleaning it out, I
found a 1977 PICKUP/VAN/4 WHEEL DRIVE magazine, with a 2 page artical about
the van and it's 4x4 conversion by Burbank Four Wheel Drive. It
originally had 1/2 axels. It has secret compartments in the floor, and
came with atleast one extra of every part on the van. It wieghts 8,000
lbs. We had it shipped up to Idaho, from Casa Grande AZ. After a complete
service I have driven it about 1,000 miles. It has 1 ton running
gear,a flipped front Dana 44 to raise drive shaft angle. It is super
smooth, and gets double takes everywhere. This is the 3rd 4x4 Dodge van
I have owned. I had a van conversion shop VANS LTD in Northern
California for 18 years, we plan to keep it retro, not changing much.
More to follow...E-Mail.
This is Brad's Great Pumpkin - It's a 1976 E-250 Santana Quadravan. All original including the paint, but now sports 12.5" X 33" OD treads with Ford stainless steel "beauty rings". E-Mail.
This is my 1989 E-250 Pathfinder/Quadravan. It has a 351ci engine, A/T, Dana 44 front and a Dana 60 rear. I am currently adding a 2" lift, new steel plate bumpers, tube roof rack, and new paint. She has yet to get stuck in any of the terrain I explore in Arizona. My van pulls my trailer great and is very handy off-road. David, New River, Arizona. E-Mail.

I am currently deployed to the "Sandbox" but am awaiting the day that I get back to Utah and not only to my family, but to my newly acquired 4x4 van with a Sportsmobile conversion. I bought it about 3 months before I left the states. It was originally a Salem Kroger conversion that I purchased in Texas. It was from the Corpus Christi area so the there have been some issues with salty air and corrosion (no rust). It ran strong, but has left me stranded over 200 miles from home. I had the transmission replaced, new rear springs, new transfer case and front end work. I have also had Sportsmobile add a powered Penthouse top. All in all, I knew I would have to do most of the work, but am not disillusioned at all. I have only had 2 chances before I left to take it out, but both were great experiences. For you Kayaker's I would suggest Thule Hullavators. They have been a God send as the top of the van is over 8 feet high. Also, look on your local classified adds or Craigslist for parts and accessories. You can save a ton of $ and the looking is fun.
This is my 2004 E350 Super Duty 6.0 Turbo Diesel that I just had converted to 4X4 with Dana 60's front and rear, 4" Banks monster exhaust, SCT Livewire/PDA, 35" Mickey Thompsons, Auto Meter gauges, front & rear Helwig sway bars, double shocked all the way around, 6" lift leaf springs (front & back), and double steering stabilizer. Thanks to the guys at East Coast Off Road Headquarters in Hickory Maryland, they did an awesome job. Also the paint job was created by Cris and Dave at Custom Colors Paint and Body in Port Saint Lucie Florida. John W.

This van is a Pathfinder Quadravan.
It has a 4BBL Holley carb on a 460ci gas motor which has 75,000 miles on the motor. There is a Dana 44 front axle with disc brakes and a Dana 60 rear with drum brakes.
It was converted to leaf springs by the 4XDoctor in 1990.
This van has a 140" wheelbase (the 4xDoctor recommended moving the axle forward 2" to clear the fender behind the front wheel).
The power steering is easy and tracks well.
The odometer reads 74,000, but the actual mileage is 374,000.
It burns some oil, but just passed CA emissions smog check on 10/06.
There is a 2" receiver hitch on the rear and two 2" receiver hitches on the front.
The front bumper/platform sleeves into the receivers or can be removed to mount hitches or winches (not included).
The interior is set up for hauling equipment, bikes, motorcycles, anything.
The floor has 5 each 10' lengths of e-track flush mounted beneath plywood coated with rubber diamond plate.
The walls each have a 10' length of e-track riveted to aluminum sheet metal that skins the interior.
There are over 200 slots to clip in the D-rings or shore bar sleeves(included), which allow making shelves or ratchet strapping everything down.
The drivers area has two grey Recaro seats, a GT steering wheel, and black carpet.
The roof has two sun roofs for great ventilation.
The roof rack/platform measures 10' x 5'6". It is made of 1/4" aluminum diamond plate with 5' 10" lengths of E-track, with over 200 points to tie into.
The front brakes and exhaust system has just been redone, the back brakes are good, the 33X12.50 Goodrich All Terrains have many miles left and it also has a full size spare which is new.

Here is a picture of my 83 Chevy G-30.
Prostock 350 w/new Edelbrock 4 barrel. Berg Warner
T-case, Turbo 400 tranny, New locking hubs, RV
heater. This is a work horse that pulls a 26' tailer
all over Colorado in the winter to Freestyle Skiing
competitions. It's happy 'till about 12,000 feet,
then it doesn't breath that great. Future projects
include new BFG AT's, New leaf springs, overload
springs, and a stylie interior. This things a bad a**
and doesn't seem to top heavy under most circumstances.
Original 4x4 conversion was done by Tulsa Trucking for the Flathead Valley MT school district.

I'm Eelco. I live in Holland, Europe. These are pictures of my 1982 Ford 4x4 van. I have build it with parts from a 1978 Bronco. It was imported in 1996 from Canada as a normal 4x2 hi-top van. The conversion has a Dana 44 front rear from the Bronco. I have been building my van for the past 4 years and as far as I know it is the only one in Holland.
I like your site very much!. There are a lot of 4x4 vans in the USA and I like that. So see you. E-Mail: e.wartena@quicknet.nl. |

Hello, I'm from Chilliwack, BC, Canada. Pictured here is my 2WD GMC Safar that I lifted 6 inches to accommodate 31X10.50X15 tires.
I've had tons of fun with it. Unfortunately, it rolled over when I got hit by a Neon 2 years ago.
I just felt it should be archived somehow, so here are the pics.
